Hovertravel has had to suspend its cross-Solent service this morning (Monday) due to a technical issue.
The 09:15 crossing – using Island Flyer – failed to depart Ryde with all customers disembarked back into the waiting room.
However, it is only now – 45 minutes later – that the company has confirmed a suspension of service. This is due to Solent Flyer being out of action also.
The next update is expected in just over an hour’s time at 11:00.
Tickets are being accepted on Wightlink’s Fastcat service to/from Ryde Pier Head.
This morning’s disruption comes after a suspension of service yesterday due to adverse weather conditions.
UPDATE – Hovertravel’s service has now resumed as of the 11:15 from Ryde.
