HORSE RESCUED FROM RAILINGS

cuttingkitIn the second horse-related incident this week, firefighters from Ventnor have been working to free a horse trapped in a set of railings in Whitwell.

Cutting equipment, often seen being used to free casualties in car crashes, was used to cut the animal from the railings in just 15 minutes, resulting in a happy ending for all.

One appliance from Ventnor Fire Station was called to the scene at Kemming Road shortly before 14:45 this afternoon.
