On receiving advice from the Met Office that heavy rain, already affecting parts of Devon and Cornwall, is heading our way and will hit the Island within the next few hours, an early decision has been taken to postpone the Wightlink Islanders scheduled home meeting tonight.

The meeting would have been against the King’s Lynn Young Stars side in the National League, but with the Met Office further advising that once the rain arrives it will continue until the early hours of tomorrow morning, the club’s management reached their decision.
Joint team manager Chris Hunt explained, “e decided that, given the advice we received, it would be best to declare the postponement now to save riders and supporters of both sides undertaking unnecessary journeys.”
