The Wight Milk shed at Havenstreet, which has remained open throughout the coronavirus pandemic to ensure locals and key workers are able to get kitchen staples, has been vandalised.
Regular customers at the honesty box shop have expressed their disgust at the news, which has been shared by the George family who farm at Coppid Hall.
Sadly, persons unknown have gone into the shed and ripped out electrics, lights and CCTV cameras. They have also left produce scattered all over the place.
The popular shed, which opened in 2013, is located on the main road into Havenstreet from Ryde meaning the chances are the vandals have purposefully travelled to the village.
The George family say that the shed remains open as always but have asked that anyone with information gets in touch.

Probably the scum in sandown have come over
O not the scum from any other village just sandown stupid comment
Moron comment there, probably covering up your own tracks scumbag..
Absolutely disgusting
This is such a disgrace! Give the culprits hard labour as this to me is utter garbage behaving by individuals who have no respect whatsoever for peoples property and the community. I feel it may be local youths and not someone from outside which is normally the case!
Best of luck to you all in Havenstreet
How disgusting for some one to do this
You would not be able to print what most people think about the people that have done this, we use this brilliant facility and hope it can remain open and they find those responsible.
I feel so sad this has happened. You have been there for us now and before this dreadful pandemic and it’s awful that this has happened. I hope the police take this seriously and well done for remaining open
What sort of people or should I say mindless idiots are they to do this to Coppid Hall which supply us with milk and eggs etc. They are farmers who work extremely hard to supply us especially during these very difficult times. It is obvious they are youths who are in need of discipline and just wonder what their parents would think of their behaviour!! I really hope someone is able to come up with some information.
Well I have to say I come from London and have not been living on this lovely island long and to have honesty boxes with special little outlets like this are so nice to see and have.
Who ever did this is obviously not of sound mind!
All I can say is hope they are deserved of their own downfall and the outlet can continue to be giving a vital service to the community.
And to who did it go to London where you wouldn’t last 2 seconds little bitty’s
Just mindless vandalism I hope they catch the morons who did this
Bloody low life scum, when can we start a low life cull
This is awful. The Milk Shed is great Community asset and if the vandals are caught perhaps they should be made an example of.. march them through the streets with placards round their necks!!
Arseoles !!!!
Disgusting. Respect to the family who runs this for even keeping it open still. Have used this on a few occasions but it’s the best for after a walk around firestone copse on a hot summers day. Have never worried about my change as just so grateful for the service. Didn’t the cctv catch any pictures that can be put up to shame the mindless waste of space whom have done this?
Catch them then go and smash up there property not so nice then
Has anyone got cctv in the area. Maybe it could pick up vehicle movements.
Lock them up in the stocks in Brading for the whole world to come and see the type of person that would do such thing.
Public humiliation would see them behaving themselves for a long time to come I suspect.
