The Isle of Wight’s rising football stars, Holly Stephan and Sienna Brennen, helped their team secure the Hampshire U13’s Girls League Cup at the weekend.
You may remember the Island Echo report on the girls’ season success earlier this month. Well that winning streak continued on Saturday when Pompey in the Community Girls U13 took on Eastleigh Girls U13 in Winchester.
Once again the local side did not concede a goal and won the match comfortably with a final score of 10 – nil. Sienna contributed heavily to that win having netted 2 goals, whilst Holly took up the position of Captain for the team.
Both Holly and Sienna travel across the Solent twice a week to train and compete in matches for the Pompey ITC development squad, whilst also training on the Island with Andy North.
The girls are now looking forward to getting stuck in to some league fixtures and are hoping to top the table before they go ‘on tour’ to Vitesse Arnhem in the Netherlands at the end of May.
