UPDATED: The Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service are attending flooding in Newport this afternoon (Friday) following heavy and prolonged downpours across the Island.
Manner’s View outside Screwfix has been closed due to significant flooding, whilst local businesses on the estate and nearby Dodnor Industrial Estate are threatened by ‘knee-high’ flood water.
Motorists are being advised to take extra care on the roads, with reports that Coppins Bridge, Newport is flooded and surface water on many other Island roads.
UPDATE @ 15:00 – Manners View has been closed by Police.
There are no further problems to report at this time.
