Dana Edkins commented:

“Georgina has been so supportive to myself and others on the Island. She has set up a heart failure support group for patients and always goes that extra mile for her patients because she is so dedicated and passionate on making a difference.

“She has helped me fundraise and also fundraised herself for various charities and having Georgina in my life has made such a difference. She reassures me every time I see her and reduces my anxiety as well as answer every question I ask her in the best way I will understand. I honestly don’t know where I would be without her in my life helping me through it all.”

On receiving the award, Georgina said:

“’I am very humbled to be nominated and awarded this award by one of my heart failure patients. Nationwide heart failure nurses make such a huge impact on our patients lives and I am very proud to be part of a ‘big’ team. On the Island, whilst we are a very small team, we all are passionate and dedicated to making a difference to our patients.”
