Here we go again? More idiot drivers are they tourists ???
Omg really what is the rush on that rock.
Old fart called Kev was driving
Cretin called Jenny was driving.
Still got that little pecker tony
How did the Honda end up on the wrong side of the road/
Driver Error?
you dont say..
The Police are doing a good job and all was flowing okay when I just came through, despite someone’s day being ruined.
I think it will be more than a day ruined, whether they are residents or visitors. After the initial shock, all sort of inconvenience and additional expense and worry if you live here. What was meant to be a memorable holiday becoming a nightmare if you are a holidaymaker. No loss of life or injury it appears, but still a very minor tragedy.
I wonder overtake gone wrong maybe 3rd crash today
Why is the Honda on the wrong side of the road, obviously causing the head on?
Why is one of the cars on the wrong side of the road ?
How the hell has that happened! Jesus
We witnessed the crash yesterday around 11:50am, the car was pulling out of the drive and the black car was going very fast/distracted and didnt slow down, drove straight into it.
More idiots forcing our insurance up, will be along soon…
Was the Honda driving on the wrong side of the road? Certainly looks like it. OMG…..we’ve got 6 weeks of this madness!!!! Visitors need to slow down or there will certainly be accidents to come
Perhaps the islanders should be the first to slow down.
Absolutely right!
Got on the wrong ferry, thought they were in France
At lease the French drive better
Why is it the assumption that it’s always tourists? Some of the driving I have seen on the island is shocking by both tourists and islanders
In my experience, it’s not so much of where the driver is from, more the type of car they are driving. A very high proportion of accidents on the island and mainland always seem to involve 4×4’s.
Old women in 4x4s! Shocking! And I’m a woman!! Hate to say it, but it’s true
Especially Van drivers, and when the tourists have gone, the crash numbers go up…..
Because if it was an islander it would be on its roof.
The car on the wrong side is an HW plate you numpties. It’s the poor old roof box visitor gang who get hit only a few yards from getting off the ferry by the calkheads. Island drivers do end up on the roof a lot but they also give way to the left at roundabouts and…it seems drive on the right!
The plate is irrelevant. Believe it or not, they sell used HW cars on the mainland
How have you concluded the Honda has an HW number plate, the registration has been blurred out? Unless you know something we all don’t!?!?
Wouldn’t happen with A.I. cars
Is there a no fixed link sticker in the rear window of the Honda?
Well Badger, you may think yourself a protected species, but talk, any talk what so ever of a fixed link will have you hunted down by the flaming torch and pitchforks brigade.
More idiots in cars a stupid car overtook two bicycles on a corner right in front of me yesterday heading straight for me on the wrong side of the road don’t overtake on corners idiots
Anyone overtaking should be fined heavily and have their
Driving licences taken away from them.
Then there should also be a law that people should drive at a reasonable and mostly constant speed to avoid frustration of following drivers.
What the hell is it people on this island, they can’t maintain a reasonable speed, and check their mirror only to see how much they are pissing off the long que forming behind them.
Have to agree.
The number of times I have been stuck behind someone, on a main road, whose speed continuously varies between 25mph and 45mph for no apparent reason at all.
If you live in a place with a large codger population like the Island you have to accept you are going to be stuck behind one. I just wish that, if they are going to dawdle, they dawdled at a constant speed or, at least, varied their speed according to road conditions.
No excuse for allowing your frustration to cause you to do an unsafe overtake, though.
We witnessed the crash yesterday around 11:50am, the car was pulling out of the drive and the black car was going very fast/distracted and didnt slow down, drove straight into it.
Blame the tourists hahaha.
Just admit that 70% of the residents here are not fit to drive.
Everyone passed via cousins, uncles and family friends.
By far the worst place to drive in the UK!
So maybe you should move to somewhere where they drive more to your taste. I would say the idiots that think by trying to get into the boot of the car in front – goodness knows why – are the ones to blame. Best to pull over and let them head on to disaster!
Taken from .gov.uk;
“In the eyes of the law, driving too slowly is a hazard to those who are following the speed limit maximum and may cause unnecessary road rage to other drivers. This can then lead to them taking risks and making reckless decisions on the road.”
ahhh just wanted a kiss ..you can’t park there mate..
