Island Roads have taken the decision to commence gritting this evening (Sunday) and again tomorrow morning for known wet spots.
Winter Maintenance decision is to treat the precautionary routes commencing at 17:30.
A secondary treatment of known wet spots will commence at 06.00hrs.
Drivers are reminded to drive carefully and allow extra time for their journies.

They certainly didn’t salt the middle road last night! Sunday morning was like an ice rink!!
More rust, more dead newts, and more cost to me on my poll tax.
Waste of time, only a handful of cars driving about sunday night, and most of them only to the pub, or to get some ‘gear’.
And I have to pay for it.
