Jeffrey Foster and Trevor Gosset secured victory in the rearranged December Trophy at Westridge Golf Club, winning by countback after finishing level on 56 net.
Despite far from ideal conditions, the final weekend before Christmas saw improved weather compared to the original date. Foster and Gosset came out on top in a tightly contested field, with the top 10 pairs covered by just 4 points. They edged out Glen Winnard and Ian Couse by virtue of a better back 9.
Two more pairs finished just one shot back on 57 net. Peter Dixcey and Steve Hull claimed third place by countback on the final hole, narrowly beating Darren Abbott and Kim Meguyer.
With the December Trophy being the last Monthly Major of the year, the League Cup was also decided. Co-Club Captain Zane Cohen took the 2025 title with 67 points, having entered the final competition with an unassailable lead. Jeffrey Foster made a strong move to finish second on 47 points, while reigning champion Mark Royl, unable to compete due to illness, held on to third with 44 points.
The 9 Hole Stableford League also came to a close. Peter Dixcey took the 2025 title outright with 201 points from his 10 counting rounds. He had shared the 2024 title with Gary Cass. This year, he edged out Melvyn Probyn on 199 points and George King on 198 points.
