Adverse weather conditions are causing disruption to cross-Solent travel this morning (Friday), impacting those travelling to and from the Isle of Wight.
Although Wightlink services are currently running to timetable, the Red Jet service between Cowes and Southampton and Hovertravel’s Ryde-Southsea service are being impacted by the strong winds and tidal conditions.
Red Funnel has confirmed that the 06:05, 07:15 and 08:25 hi-speed sailings from Southampton have been cancelled, alongside the 06:40, 07:50 and 09:00 sailings from West Cowes.
The current weather is beyond the operational limits of the Red Jet 7 craft.
Meanwhile, Hovertravel has confirmed it has suspended its operations to and from Ryde. Tickets are being accepted on Wightlink’s Fastcat as a result.
An update is expected at 08:45 but this is not a guarantee that services will resume at that time.
It is unclear at this time if any further sailings will be cancelled.
UPDATE – All services have now resumed to timetable.

Doesn’t matter.
