Freshwater Bay Ladies have been crowned champions of the 2026 Isle of Wight Ladies Golf Association Foursomes League after an impressive campaign.
It was another exciting finish to this year’s interclub matchplay Foursomes League competition, with six Island teams battling it out over five weeks.
Freshwater Bay built up an unassailable lead going into the final round to secure the league title, but the fight for the runners-up spot went right down to the wire.
With four teams still in contention, the outcome was not decided until the very last match. Cowes eventually claimed the runners-up shield with 13 points, just one behind champions Freshwater Bay, who finished on 14 points.
IWLGA captain Stephanie Hart presented the Foursomes League Shield to the Freshwater Bay team and the runners-up shield to Cowes.
