PopUp’s events are led by successful entrepreneurs and professionals and can be very sought after, with events regularly attracting hundreds of aspiring business owners.

Simon Paine, PopUp Business School’s co-founder and CEO, said:

“There’s nothing better than meeting someone with no business experience and guiding them through their first sale – it can transform lives.

“We had a great session here last year and met some wonderful people on the Isle of Wight. I’m a little sad we can’t be there in person but we’ve been perfecting our events online and looking forward to virtually meeting faces new and old.”

At PopUp’s event held last October, over a quarter of attendees started a new business and gained their first sale within 5 days. Among them was Roberta Powell, who learnt new skills to boost her plumbing business.

Roberta said:

“They made me see the way business works in a completely different way. They showed me, if you add value, you will receive value back, and that you don’t need money to do it. I walked away knowing how business actually works. Since the course, I have a website, new customers, sales and I’ve bought a new laptop for a bargain”.

The PopUp Business School event is available free of charge to participants through sponsorship and funding from housing associations Southern Housing Group and Sovereign, as well as the Isle of Wight Council.

Whilst the event is being marketed to those living on the Isle of Wight, anyone is welcome to attend. You can book a free place at
