A misconduct hearing is to be held to consider allegations against former Isle of Wight Police officer Scott Carine, who is accused of operating a business interest without approval.
Allegations state that after September 2023, former PC Carine continued to operate a business as a personal fitness trainer despite having had his authority to maintain that business interest previously withdrawn. He is understood to run his fitness business from The Gym at Coppins Bridge in Newport.
These alleged actions are considered breaches of Honesty and Integrity, Orders and Instructions, and Discreditable Conduct under the Standards of Professional Behaviour.
Furthermore, in April 2024, former PC Carine was handed a Community Resolution in respect of an allegation relating to child neglect. These actions are said to breach the Standards of Professional Behaviour, specifically Duties and Responsibilities.
It is assessed that the matters, taken individually and together, amount to gross misconduct. If proven, they would be serious enough to justify dismissal had the officer still been serving.
The hearing will be held at the Holiday Inn in Eastleigh on Monday (29th September), where the former constable’s conduct will be formally examined.

Seems as any excuse to hurt him by someone. Sledge hammer and nut! Not a job dismissal case, needs a talking too first.
