Paul Gadd – who achieved fame under the stage name Gary Glitter – has been released from prison on the mainland after serving just half of his 16-year sentence for sex crimes against children.
The 79-year-old serial sex offender has fortunately not been released here on the Isle of Wight. Gadd left HMP The Verne – a low-security category C jail in Portland, Dorset – this morning (Friday) after 8 years behind bars.
The disgraced former pop star has been freed automatically as he had served half of his fixed-term sentence. He will now be subject to strict licence conditions.
The prolific paedophile – who was formerly jailed at HMP Isle of Wight as exposed by Island Echo’s editor – was jailed in 2015 for interfering with 3 schoolgirls. He was the 1st person to be arrested under Operation Yewtree, an investigation launched by the Metropolitan Police, following the Jimmy Savile scandal.
Glitter had molested 2 girls – aged 12 and 13 – whom he had invited backstage to his dressing room. He had also attempted to rape a girl under 10 years old. He was convicted of 1 charge of attempted rape, 1 charge of unlawful sexual intercourse with a girl under 13, and 4 charges of indecent assault.
Before his most recent conviction, Gadd had been imprisoned for various serious offences against children. In 1999, he admitted possession of 4,000 child pornography images and was jailed for 4 months. In 2002, he was expelled from Cambodia following allegations of serious sex crimes. In 2006, he was convicted of abusing 2 girls – aged 10 and 11 – in Vietnam and spent 2-and-a-half years in prison.
Whilst no doubt a disgusting being, much publicity is on this vile individual, yet how much was given when the gangs, not a gang, but gangs in Rochester and Rotherham of Asian men, picked PURELY on white British young girls?
These gangs forced these girls to have abortions & raped them again and again.
YET, the news hardly mentioned it, we never knew when they were released but IMAGINE if it had been white groups of Brits picking just on black girls, the BBC & media would never drop the story & new laws would be made making race rape a special crime.

the only reason that you see more white people in the news here, is because the UK is 86% white and that white girls are taught to speak up nowadays and educated much earlier, whereas in other countries it still is justified in many ways, by the perpetrators

On release she was first housed in Newbury, Berkshire until the residents realised who she was hence her being moved on costing the British taxpayer millions of pounds over the years.
