A former doctor at St Mary’s Hospital has denied squeezing the backside of a nurse.
Chiemedo Ikpo, 49, of Ward Lane in Hackney, London, denied sexual assault of a female when he appeared at the Isle of Wight Magistrates Court earlier this week (Tuesday).
It is alleged that Ikpo squeezed the bottom of a colleague for around 6 seconds, on a date between 31st December 2019 and 1st March 2020.
The 49-year-old was working as a trainee doctor at St Mary’s Hospital in Newport at the time of the incident, which dates back more than 3 years ago.
The case has been adjourned to the Isle of Wight Crown Court with a trial due to take place on 11th September.
Ikpo has been granted unconditional bail until that time.
