The Isle of Wight Council has announced that from 22:30 tonight (Friday) a foot passenger only service will operate on the Cowes Floating Bridge before 07:00 each morning.
Between the hours of 22:30 – 07:00 each day, until further notice, vehicles will have to divert some 10 miles through Newport as the Floating Bridge will only be accepting foot passengers.
The decision to reduce the River Medina service has been made to allow further work to be undertaken to investigate noise complaints and identify any remedial works required.
A separate timetable for Cowes Week will be released next week.
