The Met Office has issued a fog warning for the Isle of Wight from 16:00 this afternoon (Sunday) for the remainder of the day.
Light winds and moist air, together with clear skies, brings the likelihood of fog formation later this afternoon and through the evening.
Fog patches are likely to become extensive and dense in places and although not everywhere will see fog, where it does form visibility may fall below 100 metres.
Islanders should be prepared for some disruption to transport and difficult driving conditions.
Overnight, low cloud is expected to arrive from the southwest and should lift most of the fog towards hilly areas by Monday morning.
