A flood alert for the Isle of Wight coast has been issued by the Environment Agency for tomorrow afternoon (Friday).
Although the forecast tide level is significantly below normal Flood Alert threshold, strong winds and large waves up to 3m are expected for several hours around high tide. Any impacts are expected to be minor and won’t impact property, but spray is expected to overtop sea walls at Yarmouth and Ryde.
High tide is around 15:30 tomorrow and wind strength is expected to hit Force 7 in a South Easterly direction.
