The Cowes Floating Bridge will be operating extended hours this weekend to support the hundreds of crews and thousands of visitors expected for the Round the Island Race.
The service will begin at 04:00 on Saturday (7th June), to accommodate early morning preparations and crossings.
It will continue running throughout the day and into the early hours of Sunday morning, with the final crossing scheduled for 01:30 on Sunday (8th June).

So long as it hasn’t broken down.
That’s if it’s running.
If it is running in such conditions it then makes one
wonder if there are no problems with it really
The authorities just like to cause unnesseccary congestion.
So all these months of breaking down and having technical issues and being suspended all of a sudden will run extended hours to support the many visitors and crews in the round the island race …. there are no words….
Oh really, so its not needing maintenance today and you can run for extended hours when money is involved.
Yes we all get it is the same with the Ferries, FastCat and Hover service. They wont need maintaining or cancelling when the festival is on will they.
So obvious what’s going on here.
Such a corrupt situation and whoever has the power to do anything about it is doing nothing.
