Firefighters were called to St Mary’s Hospital earlier this afternoon (Tuesday) following reports of smoke issuing from an office.
Hampshire & Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service mobilised 2 appliances from Newport to the Business Office of the Mottistone suite at just before 15:15.
Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus and armed with a hose reel entered the semi-permanent building, but no fire was detected.
The crews left the scene at 16:20.
