Firefighters from Newport and East Cowes have attended Lynn Bottom Civic Amenity site at Downend tonight (Friday) following reports of a fire within a waste disposal skip.
Two appliances were mobilised to the scene shortly before 20:50, however the incident was left in the hands of the site’s staff.
The site was temporarily closed to members of the public.
