A car has left the road and careered through a hedge on the outskirts of Ryde this morning (Friday).
A blue Ford Fiesta has been involved in the single vehicle collision on Stroud Wood Road between Upton and Havenstreet.
It was shortly after 07:30 that the Isle of Wight Ambulance Service was called to the incident, with an ambulance and a critical care paramedic deployed. The vehicle was travelling towards Havenstreet.
The occupants of the small hatchback are currently being checked over, but are thought to have escaped any serious injury.
Police are on scene but the road remains open in both directions under give and take.
It is the latest crash on this stretch of road in recent weeks, decimating the farmer’s hedge on each occasion.
There are a few convenient holes in the hedge just there previously made by the same method.
Favourite race track for the boy and girl racers.
It’s about time IW Council spent our
Council tax wisely and installed speed humps
along such roads and speed camera’s.
I have never seen a place in Britain that is so lax
whe it comes to traffic law.
