Festival season kicks off in the Spring and goes all the way through to mid-autumn.
Hey, if you’re considering visiting the Isle of Wight, I suggest steering clear of Cowes Week in early August and the Isle of Wight Festival in early to mid-June unless you’re planning to go to those events. They usually raise prices and create a lot of hustle and bustle.
Tip: The smaller events don’t impact prices too much and are a great addition to your visit.
Nightlife: Look No Further Than Cowes High Street
A few well-known bars and taverns dot the seaport town of Cowes along High Street; several of them have views over the River Medina to the adjoining town of East Cowes. From the Egypt Esplanade or the adjacent Gurnard Beach on Cowes’ northern coast, you may enjoy sunset views.
Mostly, the bars in Cowes are close to the marina. Before heading north down High Street towards The Union Inn, we advise beginning your evening at Cowes Ale House. Among the most often-used venues in the neighbourhood are The Painters Arms, Compass Bar, and Pier View. To sip beverages in an 18th-century pub, head to the Fountain Inn Hotel.
