UPDATED: The Isle of Wight Ambulance Service and Police are attending a road traffic collision on Wootton High Street this morning (Friday).
2 ambulances, a rapid response paramedic and several Police units are currently on scene near to the pedestrian crossing between Wootton Bridge and Mary Rose Avenue. It is thought 2 cars have been involved in a collision.
Traffic is at a standstill in the area, with Southern Vectis advising of 20 minute delays to Route 4 and 9 buses.
UPDATE @ 12:31 – Island Echo understands 2 vehicles have been involved in a rear-end shunt.
Thankfully, no body has been seriously injured.
Traffic is flowing in the area once again, albeit with some delays.
