Firefighters in the West Wight successfully extinguished a car fire near Yarmouth this morning (Monday).
One crew from Yarmouth were called to Westhill Lane at Fort Victoria at around 02:00 after receiving reports of a vehicle well alight. Upon arrival it was discovered that nearby undergrowth had also caught fire.
Using breathing apparatus and hose reels, firefighters tackled and extinguished the blaze just before 03:00.
Officers from Hampshire Constabulary also attended the scene.
