The driver of a Mini One is being sought by Police after crashing into the front gardens of 2 properties in Sandown during the early hours of yesterday morning (Saturday). It was just before 01:45 that the vehicle left the road and crashed into gardens on Perowne Way, narrowly avoiding hitting a terraced row of houses. When Police arrived on scene in Sandown, the vehicle was found abandoned with the driver and passenger having fled the area. But officers say they are making enquiries to identify those involved. No arrests have been made at this time.
Elsewhere on the Island… Emergency services responded to a crash on Wilmingham Lane, Thorley earlier today. No serious injuries are thought to have been sustained. Police and paramedics have also attended a minor, single vehicle crash on Brading Downs Road tonight. The vehicle, a Kia, has since been moved to a nearby layby.
