Following the sell-out success of the Sunset Boulevard Drive-in movie nights held in Arreton last month, further dates have been announced by organisers today (Sunday) which see the event move to a new venue with a total of 6 different blockbuster movies to choose from.
The previous three-nights sold out and proved to be a popular hit with Island residents and visitors, so much so that the next event is to run over 4 days and will include afternoon and evening screenings.
The unique drive-in cinema has found at new home at the Isle of Wight County Showground in Northwood and has teamed up with the local car club to provide an extra element to the day, whilst also continuing the all-Amercian theme with delicious popcorn, candy floss, hot dogs and beverages on sale.
Those visting on 30th or 31st August will not only have the choice to watch a fabulous movie, but will be able enjoy the wonderful Charity Motorsport Festival organised by Isle of Wight Car Club.
Building on two very successful previous years the IOWCC are hosting another weekend-long event packed with lots of things to do and see. Enjoy the likes of a taster Auto-Test course, passenger laps in a MK1 Escort or 300bhp Impreza, various static displays, trials bike displays, car and bike auto jumble, live music in the beer tent, Samba Band, pole climbing, off-road go-karting displays and more.
Everyone coming along to Sunset Boulevard Drive-In Movies will be free to wander down to the site before and after the films.
