A 43-year-old man from Cowes has been arrested on suspicion of drink driving following a 2-vehicle crash in Cowes in the early hours of this morning (Sunday).
Police, fire and paramedics rushed to the scene on Victoria Road at around 00:30 following reports of a road traffic collision outside Cowes Baptist Church.
The incident saw 2 vehicles collide. Both motors sustained significant damage.
Police have confirmed that both drivers sustained minor injuries.
At the scene a 43-year-old from Cowes was arrested on suspicion of drink driving. He has since been released under investigation whilst inquiries continue.
The incident was brought to close at around 01:30.
