Isle of Wight band Wet Leg have received 2 nominations for the BRIT Awards, continuing their remarkable rise after a successful return to the music scene last year.
The band are up for Group of the Year and Alternative/Rock Act, marking another high point following their 2025 comeback, which included a new single, a second album announcement and an extensive UK tour.
Wet Leg bounced back with the release of ‘catch these fists’, the lead single from their second album ‘moisturizer’. The accompanying music video, filmed on the Isle of Wight, reflected their unique style and creative direction.
Their 2025 return also included a major UK and European tour, with appearances at Glastonbury, Primavera, TRNSMT and Green Man.
The band – Rhian Teasdale, Hester Chambers, Ellis Durand, Henry Holmes and Joshua Mobaraki – originally rose to fame with their self-titled debut album. In 2023, they secured 2 BRIT Awards (Best British Group and Best New Artist) and also collected 2 GRAMMYs for Best Alternative Album and Best Alternative Music Performance.
This year’s BRIT Awards ceremony will take place at the Co-Op Live Arena in Manchester on Saturday 28th February.
