UPDATED: DIVERSIONS IN PLACE AS 2-CAR CRASH AT WOOTTON CLOSES ROAD

A minor collision between 2 vehicles has led to the closure of Station Road in Wootton this morning (Monday). A silver Honda CRV – thought to have been exiting a driveway – came into contact with a yellow Smart ForTwo shortly before 09:30. Police have closed the road in one direction from the Cedars junction, but the road is expected to reopen imminently. The Honda has been pushed back into a driveway and debris is being cleared from the carriageway. Southern Vectis Route 9 buses via Staplers are diverting along Fairlee Road until further notice. UPDATE – The road has now fully re-opened.
