Chillerton and Gatcombe Parish Council and Chillerton and Gatcombe Community Association have come together to install a defibrillator on the outside of Chillerton Village Hall.
The potentially life-saving device will be available all times of the day and night to residents and visitors alike.
A defibrillator is a device that gives a high energy electric shock to the heart of someone who is in cardiac arrest. This high energy shock is called defibrillation, and it’s an essential part in trying to save the life of someone in cardiac arrest.
If you see someone having a cardiac arrest, call 999, start CPR, and get someone to find a defibrillator. The emergency operator can advise you if there is no defibrillator nearby.

Great addition to the safety of people, yet they could have waited until the scarecrows were all removed first!
Just joshing, nice to see real Island characters well done all.
