DEFIBRILLATOR BOUGHT THANKS TO FUNDRAISING EFFORTS AT THE TRAVELLERS JOY

After almost a year of fundraising the team at The Travellers Joy in Northwood have raised enough money to purchase a life-saving defibrillator.

Pete, Sam and the rest of the team are this week thanking everyone who has helped raised the target amount of £1,070. The entire amount has been raised by locals with the final £180 donated by Mr Niall Whatley, a visitor from London, who believe it was a good cause after previously being saved by a defibrillator himself.

Staff and a few local residents have received training on how to use the defibrillator.

The defib unit is located behind the bar and is accessible immediately using opening hours. Outside of opening hours the defibrillator can be obtained by ringing the doorbell located at the front door of the building.
