Newport IW Football Club’s Darren Powell has today (Saturday) been honoured following his 500th appearance for the club last week.

In just over 10-and-a-half years Powell has racked up 500 appearances for the Island side, thought to be one of the quickest times to reach the milestone in the club’s history. His 500th appearance came on 3rd December.

Darren has been an integral part in the development of Newport’s first team and has led the team to success during his playing career at the club. Darren now joins a select few legends that have made 500+ appearances for Newport.
