Team members and sponsors from Wightlink-Wight Mountain Cycle Race Team presented a cheque for £1,500 to Mountbatten Hospice last Friday.
The funds were raised by the team through the TT Series held on the Island last season.

It’s hoped that the team will be able to raise even more funds this year through entry fees and by selling tickets for the Grand Raffle, which is to be drawn at the last event at Chessell Pottery Café in September.
In sporting action… team member Ben Johnson travelled to the mainland earlier this month to compete in the last 2 rounds of the Wessex Cyclocross Series at Andover and Southampton.
He put in a great performance on the challenging courses and came home in 39th and 25th place respectively.
Ben is now looking forward to competing in the 3rd round of the MTB Endurance Gorrick Winter Series next Sunday.
