Ventnor Cricket Club is celebrating its 175th anniversary this year and to mark the occasion, England cricket legend Matthew Hoggard is heading to Steephill.
In great demand as an acclaimed speaker on the after-dinner circuit, Matthew was a fast seam bowler who played a pivotal role in one of the most successful periods in English cricket.
The Yorkshireman – who played for both Yorkshire and Leicestershire in England and Free State in South Africa – has an extensive raft of stories to tell, including tales from the epic 2005 Ashes series, delivered in his own unique style.
“Hoggy”, who represented England 93 times, is a huge draw for audiences of all ages and is sure to provide an evening of great entertainment.
The event is being held on Saturday 5th April at 18:00.
