UPDATED: Ashey Road in Ryde has been closed by Police following a 2-car road traffic collision this afternoon (Sunday).
A silver BMW 3-Series and a silver Ford Focus estate have collided at a narrowing of the carriageway near the junction with Bettsworth Road.
Emergency services were alerted to the incident at 14:40.
No one has been seriously injured in the crash, however the road is blocked and therefore closed in both directions between Smallbrook Lane and Bettsworth Road.
UPDATE @ 16:14 – Ashey Road has now reopened to all traffic.
Island Echo understands 1 female has been conveyed to St Mary’s Hospital as a precaution.
The vehicles have been recovered from the scene by Stag Lane Motors.
