Cowes Primary School recently held a very special Fairy Tale Ball and it was the first time parents had been invited to attend since the pandemic hit.
Sunfish class were thrilled to receive an invitation from HRH Prince Charming to attend a Fairy Tale Ball to celebrate the end of their ‘Once Upon a Time’ topic. Unfortunately, it could not be held at the Palace this year but luckily the ball could take place in the school hall.
After lots of emails to and from HRH Prince Charming, the details were finalised and the Sunfish Fairy Tale Ball finally took place on Wednesday afternoon (30th March).
The princes and princesses had practised their ballroom dancing, were dressed in their finery and were ready to take to the dance floor. “Oos” and “Ahhs” could be heard from the many parents who attended the ball, as the Princes invited their partners to dance.
After a healthy snack, prepared by the children themselves, the tempo of the music increased, and the princes and princesses were seen breaking out their disco moves!
The Ball was concluded by all the parents and carers enthusiastically joining their children to dance to the wonderful Wiggles.
