Fears that a broken down motorboat with 4 men aboard might drift into the shipping lane sent Cowes RNLI lifeboat dashing out into the Solent this afternoon (Saturday).
When Solent Coastguard were initially alerted that the 30ft ‘K.O.Speed’ had engine problems, it was located in Osborne Bay. However, it began to drift westwards until finally being reached by the lifeboat and towed to Trinity Landing.
Cowes RNLI launched at around 14:50.
