UPDATED: Coastguard Rescue Teams from Bembridge and Ventnor are in attendance at Culver Down alongside Police this morning (Saturday) over concerns for the welfare of a man.
Rescue Teams are standing by as Police talk to the individual, who is at the cliff edge.
Bembridge RNLI lifeboat has been placed on immediate readiness.
Members of the public are being diverted away from the cliff path, however all other areas of Culver remain open.
UPDATE @ 10:40 – Thankfully, the man has been talked down and is now safe. He is being transported to the appropriate services by Police.
Emergency services are standing down from the incident.
