CONCERNS GROW FOR MISSING 15-YEAR-OLD ISLAND LAD

masongagenmissing2UPDATED: Police on the Isle of Wight have growing concerns for the welfare of a missing 15-year-old teenager from Wroxall who hasn’t been seen since yesterday morning (Thursday).

Mason Gagen, 15, was last seen at around 07:30 yesterday morning (Thursday 30th April) having left his home address in Wroxall. Mason is described as:

• White
• 5ft 5ins to 5ft 7ins tall
• Slim build
• Black hair with ginger undertones, styled in a quiff

He was last seen wearing a blue Adidas hooded top with white stripes on the arms, and jeans.

PC Kirsty Dunn of Hampshire Constabulary has said:

“We’re becoming increasingly concerned for Mason’s welfare. It’s believed he may be attempting to travel to, or be in the Yorkshire area.

“If you have seen him or know where he is, please contact officers at Newport police station.

“Equally I would appeal to Mason directly to contact police to let us know he’s ok.”

Anyone with information is asked to contact Newport Police Station by phoning 101. In an emergency, dial 999. Information can also be given anonymously by phoning Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

UPDATE SUNDAY: According to family members, Mason was spotted in the Portsmouth area yesterday (Saturday) and has been in telephone contact with friends. He is yet to return home, however.

UPDATE MONDAY: Police are making a fresh appeal for information about the whereabouts of Mason Gagen.

Officers are making enquiries into a possible sighting of Mason with a friend in the Commercial Road area of Portsmouth this morning, however Island Echo readers have been in touch to say he has been spotted in the area throughout the weekend.

Mason or anyone with information about his whereabouts is asked to contact police by phoning 101. Mini-com users can phone 18001 101. In an emergency, dial 999.

UPDATE MONDAY: Mason Gagen has been found safe and well in Portsmouth this evening.
