This year’s annual community quiz night at Trinity Theatre in Cowes has raised £600 in aid of Friends of the Animals, a local charity dedicated to helping animals in need across the Isle of Wight.
The popular fundraiser, organised by the Cowes Amateur Operatic and Dramatic Society (CAODS), continues a long-standing tradition of supporting good causes.
CAODS, a non-profit voluntary organisation, has hosted the event for several years, raising thousands of pounds for a variety of Isle of Wight charities.
This year’s quiz was hosted by Pete and Tracy Asher, who brought their usual enthusiasm to the role of quizmasters. The evening saw a strong turnout from the community, with many locals coming together to enjoy the event and support a worthy cause.
Helen Sinclair MBE, Founder of Friends of the Animals, has said:
“The last year has been the busiest year ever, particularly for veterinary treatment and we are delighted to receive the £600 which will greatly help with our ongoing expenses.”
