A 21-year-old from East Cowes has been handed a 12-month community order after he assaulted a teenager who rejected his attempts to kiss her.
Jake Allen, of Acorn Gardens, appeared before the Isle of Wight Magistrates Court on Friday charged with assault by beating of an emergency worker, assault by beating and common assault – 3 charges he pleaded guilty to.
Prosecutor Liz Miller explained to the court that on 28th December last year, Allen was in the vicinity of Newport Bus Station when he was involved in an incident that saw a 16-year-old girl pushed to the floor. Ms Miller said that Allen had tried to kiss the girl.
Furthermore, Allen is said to have thrown a swing at a male and also called the girl in question a ‘slut’ before making a racist remark to those present at the scene.
Police were called to the scene and arrested Jake Allen. He began kicking out at officers and spitting on the floor. He was under the influence of alcohol at the time.
Ms Miller said that Allen was previously in court in 2020 and was handed a suspended sentence.
Defending, Oscar Vincent told the court that his client – who is employed in the building trade and studies bricklaying at the College – was lightly convicted with no previous for assault. Mr Vincent said that Allan had been to a music venue for the night and consumed an unusual amount of alcohol, leaving him with little or no recollection of the incident.
Magistrates were told that Allan had taken steps to avoid similar behaviour and had barely touched alcohol since.
After some deliberations, Magistrates decided to sentence Allen to a 12-month community order with 20 rehabilitation activity days and 120 hours of unpaid work attached. He was also ordered to pay compensation of £100.

so, a girl politely refuses to accept a kiss from him and politely indicates that she is not attracted to him, however, rather than take the rejection and associated very short term, emotional pain that goes with it, he refers to her as a slut. How the hell can she be a slut by politely declining to be involved with him?
He is clearly someone who is so weak emotionally, that he crumbled into a disorganised, chaotic mess at the knock back.
Grow up Jake – FGS if you can’t handle a girl saying no to you, then you do not deserve to have any girlfriends until you can handle it.
