Zane Cohen has won the 24th Ernie Moore Trophy at Westridge Golf Club, edging out Gary Cass on countback in a closely fought contest.
Sunday (14th December) saw the latest running of the annual fundraiser held in memory of Ernie Moore’s late son, with proceeds going to the local hospice.
Cohen and Cass both finished with 34 points in the scratch competition, but Cohen secured victory thanks to a stronger final 6 holes. Dwayne Alford claimed third place with 35 points on countback.
In the handicap section, Gary Cass took top spot with a net 26, finishing 2 clear of Alford on 28. Gavin Brown was third after winning a 3-way tie on 30 net, also settled on countback.
Members gathered after the round for snacks and the centre’s Christmas draw, with just under £440 raised for charity.
