A woman who has taken a detour on a night out has ended up on the roof of Poundland tonight (Saturday).
It is believed that emergency services were first alerted to the woman in distress at around 23:00.
The call prompted the response of 2 pumps from the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service as well as the Aerial Ladder Platform.
Ultimatley, the ALP remained stationary throughout the operation, with firefighters able to bring the woman safely down using extension ladders.
Paramedics and police are also on scene at incident which took place in the heart of the Island, with both services now working to ensure her ongoing safety.
Lugely Street was closed in both directions for a short time however is now back open.
