Students, staff and supporting families at Christ the King College have been busy raising vital funds and collecting goods for the Isle of Wight Foodbank and the Christmas Toy Appeal.
The overwhelming number of donations collected over the past 6 weeks were delivered to these local good causes on Friday, along with £80 for the foodbank and £250 for the Toy Appeal, raised from both the school mufti day and from donations.
A spokesperson for the school has said:
“Thank you to all of our parents and students who have been so generous and thoughtful with the items that they been donated. These items will make a huge difference to people in our community that are in need of a little help in particular at this time of year.
“Together we can make things happen”.
I thought, from the headline, that the Almighty had taken time out of his busy schedule to do good works on the Island.
