UPDATED: One appliance from the Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service is in attendance at a chimney fire in Ryde this afternoon (Saturday).
Firefighters from Ryde Fire Station were called to a residential property off Park Road in the town at just before 15:00.
The single crew are currently working to extinguish the fire, which is producing a strong-smelling smoke in the area.
No one has been injured.
UPDATE – The fire was extinguished by 15:40.
