Yarmouth residents of all ages competed in the annual Pancake Race around the Town Square yesterday (Shrove Tuesday).
In a well-attended event, competitors ran around Mr Mustafa in the centre of the square, tossing pancakes as they ran.
Yarmouth Primary School students all took part in girls’ and boys’ races in their respective year groups.
After the Primary School children had finished racing, there was an open competition for residents and holidaymakers of any age.
Finally, Yarmouth business owners – some in fancy dress – ran against each other in the last race of the day.
Mrs Grainger, Yarmouth Primary School’s Headteacher, said:
“It was wonderful to be out in the community supporting this event. The children had a wonderful time.”
