A charity car wash event held in Newport by firefighters on Saturday raised nearly £500 for two charities.
Firefighters from White watch – supported by Ventnor retained firefighters, friends and family – raised a total of £466 from the event held at Newport Fire Station. The money raised is to be split between the Joe Ellis Trust Fund and The Firefighters Charity.
Meanwhile in Shanklin, firefighters held another car wash at the town’s fire station, raising well in excess of £500 on the day for the Joe Ellis Trust Fund.
