Emergency services have this afternoon (Thursday) come together to airlift a casualty from a beach on the East of the Island.
Paramedics raced to the scene of what is believed to have been a cardiac medical complaint at The Duver in St Helens.
The assistance of the Coastguard Rescue 104 helicopter from Lee-on-the-Solent was requested at around 13:40 before landing on the beach, overlooking Bembridge Harbour.
The unknown patient has been airlifted to Queen Alexandra Hospital in Portsmouth for further treatment.
HM Coastguard teams from Bembridge were also on the scene.
